November 1956
With wooden drum delivery to Yokohama Densen Seizojo as an objective, FURUKAWA ELECTRIC CO., LTD. was established in Yokohama.
May 1968
Kanbara factory and Furukawa Denko Kanbara Aluminum Densen factory are opened while gaining ground in the same area (closed in late December 2004).
March 1970
Hiratsuka factory opens, Furukawa Electric Hiratsuka Covered Wire factory opens while gaining ground in the same area.
February 2000
Head office moved from Yokohama to Hiratsuka.

FURUKAWA LOGISTICS CORP. acquires 100% of FURUKAWA ELECTRIC shares.
September
Workplace is opened in Urayasu (currently in Ichikawa), and Furukawa's Kanto Logistics Center drum assembly, repair, etc. is done by contract.
March 2002
Oyama Drum Center workplace is opened, and FURUKAWA ELECTRIC plastic drum assembly, repair, etc. at the Oyama Drum Center is done by contract.
August 2003
Chiba factory opened, sale and manufacturing of wooden and recycled drums begins at FURUKAWA ELECTRIC's Chiba office.
September 2004
Permit acquired for general worker dispatching business.
July 2006
Rights to Ebina factory Packing Division received from SANKO INC. Inoue Corp. and Shinnikko Group become major clients.
January 2007
Kansai Office opens, manufacturing and sales of cargo materials handed over from the Furukawa Logistics Osaka Branch Office, shipment training etc. begins.
April 2009
Oyama Furukawa Sky workplace opens, nonferrous metal processing and cargo handling by contract begins in the Furukawa Sky Oyama factory.
April 2010
Merger undergone with Furukawa Logistics subsidiary ALPHA Corporation. Mie Office opens as a workplace for the former ALPHA Corporation.
April 2014
Merger undergone with Furukawa Logistics subsidiary Eishin Trade Service Corporation. Kyushu Office opens as a workplace for the former Eishin Trade Service.
